James Speaks on Entrepreneurship at the AGCAS Conference

12 Aug 2019 - Peter

Tenancy Stream co-founder James Thorn was invited to speak at the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS) Conference sharing his insights on graduate entrepreneurship.

James shared how he discovered an unsolved problem in the property industry whilst studying and how the Grad2Director (ran by Dr John Park of DisrupTeK) programme supported him in founding Tenancy Stream to solve the problem.

The event was part of a series of events promoting entrepreneurial courses available through AGCAS and York St John University. The conference was over a single day, with discussions, guest talks and Q&A sessions, organised and hosted by York St John Business School.

The event has come after York St John’s Grad2Director and Grad2Freelancer programmes have been honoured at the industry level for their success at boosting graduate outcomes. The programmes were developed in partnership between York St John University and Dr John Park, an international expert in product and service innovation. They have been nominated for the ‘AGCAS Award for Supporting Student/Graduate Employability’.
